These days our young girls are influenced by so many things in the media, especially sexual images and the pressure to have the perfect body image. That’s why First Lady Michelle Obama is stepping in and encouraging our girls to focus on being smart.
Lady O addressed about 140 people in the East Room for the National Science Foundation and said:
“If we’re going to out-innovate and out-educate the rest of the world, we’ve got to open doors for everyone…and that means clearing hurdles for women and girls as they navigate careers in science, technology, engineering and math.”
