Kierra Sheard, the daughter of Karen Clark Sheard, was recently brought to tears by receiving her bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Detroit’s Wayne State University! And because she travels as a recording artist, it took her six years to get her degree but she got it! Kierra says her graduation was unforgettable and she had never seen her parents so proud of her.
Kierra wanted to get her degree while she’s still young and before saying, “I Do” to her boo, fiancé Dr. Welton Smith; who is a pastor in Detroit. Plus, she plans to get a master’s and Ph.D in psychology and become a clinical psychologist!
In the meantime, Kierra has not left the industry. Her new CD, Free, will be out July 12th on her family’s label, Karew Records!
