Snow is on the way and is scheduled to start falling at 3 p.m. this afternoon! The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory to go in effect at 4 p.m. Friday and last until 1 a.m. Saturday.
A coating to an inch or two of snow will cover most of the area; with up to 3 inches south of the city. And around midnight, the snow is expected to taper off.
PennDot road crews have been getting ready for the snow by spraying the roadways with salt solution. However, because it’s so cold, it can take the salt some time to work, which will make it a slippery ride.
