The publicist for television personality Dick Clark has confirmed that the longtime host of “American Bandstand” and “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” has died at age 82 from a massive heart attack.
Clark’s health has been declining since a 2004 stroke; which forced him to retire in 2006 from hosting “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve”; which he created in 1972. Clark still appeared from time to time on “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve ; with his final appearance in 2011.
Our prayers are with his family.
