On Sunday night, the 2018 Tony Awards went down in New York City. Amidst all the awesome fashion looks of the night, we couldn’t help but see all the #blackgirlmagic that took to the red carpet. While we definitely saw some similarities (foreshadowing smokey eyes and nude lips for the summer,) there were looks that we just couldn’t pass up. Vibrant colors shined all over the place, and it just continued to reaffirm the beauty and power of all the attendees. Here were six looks we just couldn’t get enough of, from Cynthia Erivo‘s silvery smokey eye to Lauren Ridloff‘s pinky-nude lip liner! Oh, and of course we have you covered on where to buy.

LET’S MAKEUP: Where To Buy The Top Beauty Looks We Loved At The 2018 Tony Awards  was originally published on hellobeautiful.com

1. CYNTHIA ERIVO

Cynthia stunned on the carpet with a grey smokey eye and a burgundy lip. Start with a grey eyeshadow and smoke it out with your favorite blending brush. Our favorite is an Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Desperation ($20.00, Macys.com). Mix this with a metallic gray for a beautiful eye. The prettiest thing about Cynthia’s look is that it’s not super busy with cut-creases or halo eyes, but just blended out which makes it super accessible for everyone! Her lip was a deep red, and is easily achievable whether you go drugstore or high-end. I love Kat Von D’s Studded Kiss Créme Lipstick in Vampira ($19.00, KatVonD.com). You can get the lip for less with CoulorPop’s Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in T’d Up ($6.50, UltaBeauty.com).

2. CYNTHIA ERIVO

CYNTHIA ERIVO

For the night, she donned this beautiful, vintage black lacy number, which gave us full glam. Loved it…and it’s from 1937! Whoa.

3. BROOKLYN SUDANO

Brooklyn Sudano’s look is easy, breezy, and chill. To achieve a similar look, you can start with a dewy base and go in with a bit of a black-and-grey smokey eye, being sure to blend it out at the ends. Finish it with a nude lip and some wispy lashes, like Kiss Blooming Lashes ($3.49, Kmart.com). The lashes make your eyes look super wide awake and well, blooming!

4. BROOKLYN SUDANO

BROOKLYN SUDANO

Oh, and she sported this shiny deep purple mini dress on the red carpet. This reminds me of Rihanna’s “Ocean’s 8” premiere outfit (the color). Is this a new summer trend color we’re seeing?

5. LAUREN RIDLOFF

Lauren’s makeup look was super simple, which was great given the fact she wore such a power color on the red carpet. Line your lips with your favorite pinky-nude lip liner, and do a light smokey eye however feels best for you. Oh! And Lauren’s look is definitely finished with her thick, groomed eyebrows, so take your fave brow pencil and be sure to fill in any sparse areas. For a defined brow, if you have no eyebrows (no shade), you definitely want gel/cream. Try Lancôme Sourcils Waterproof Gel-Eye Cream ($24.00, Sephora.com). If you have eyebrows and just want to add some definition or fill in some sparse areas, I’m feeling Urban Decay Brow Box ($30.00, Sephora.com). This palm sized box comes with two different shades for the perfect match and a setting wax to keep your brows in place!

6. LAUREN RIDLOFF

Lauren shined on the red carpet in this beautiful red gown with her simple makeup. I love a woman in red! **suggestions for when skin is the highlight**

7. KERRY WASHINGTON

Kerry didn’t stray from her usual makeup look, which was fine given the fact her outfit was a standalone piece. To achieve a look like Kerry, you can just do a smokey eye (see there’s a theme for this tonight?) and then a nude gloss or lip sheen. Our Style & Beauty Editor, Danielle James, loves taking M.A.C. Chestnut Lip Liner ($18.00, Macys.com) and then adding a clear gloss over it. It is the perfect brown girl nude.

8. KERRY WASHINGTON

KERRY! She came out with all the stops in this show-stopping metallic jumpsuit with silver studs and a bit of a bottom cape. I wouldn’t usually go for this, but this is a LEWK.

9. UZO ADUBA

Aduba came with her poppin’ afro puffs, as well as natural makeup with a cat eye and a flesh-toned lipstick. I love how she always goes for the big and radiant skin look! Literally a ray of sunshine. Her slick braided bun might seem a little difficult to maintain, but you just need the right products! To keep your hair slick (and hydrated) try Shea Moisture 100% Coconut Oil Daily Hydration Styling Gel ($11.99, SheaMoisture.com). If you slick your hair often, make sure you use a gel that is nourshing as well as effective.

10. UZO ADUBA

Uzo stunned on the red carpet in this beautiful yellow Christina Ottaviano dress which looked radiant on her skin.

11. TIFFANY HADDISH

Tiffany popped out in STYLE with this Michael Kors silver-lacquard jumpsuit. Paired with a black crutch, this is definitely in my opinion one of Tiffany’s best looks!

12. TIFFANY HADDISH

Haddish’s look was super simple, but she really popped out with a red lipstick. Be sure to groom your brows, do a very simple cat eye with your favorite products, and go in with a red that’ll pop. If you’re worried about your red being too bright, go in with a nude or brown lipliner to ensure it won’t bleed! A cheap (but great) eyeliner is Ardell Fame Chaser Liquid Eyeliner ($9.99, SallyBeauty.com).
