Probably the hardest challenges of single parenting, is an overwhelming feeling that you are required to fulfill both the expectations- as a mother and a father. Particularly in the case when other single parent does not portray an active role with the children, this emotion evolves and becomes more intense.
The chances are, you would try to overcome this feeling in two ways. Either you stretch yourself to fit into both the mom or dad role or you get on one of those wild life hunting explorations to search for a partner to fill in the other role. Would you care for a piece of advice? Neither of these options will work. You can try, but remember; practically things turn out quite differently than how you perceived them to be.
