Elon Musk Exits Trump Administration Role

Elon Musk’s time in the Trump administration has officially ended.
The tech billionaire announced Wednesday evening that he is stepping down as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), where he served as a special government employee.
During his tenure, Musk led efforts to reduce federal spending through significant workforce cuts, aligning with the administration’s broader goals of shrinking government operations.
White House officials confirmed Musk will begin the offboarding process, which includes completing required paperwork. As a special government employee, Musk was limited to 130 days of service.
In recent weeks, Musk had begun shifting focus back to his private ventures, including Tesla and SpaceX, both of which have faced recent challenges partially tied to his close association with the Trump administration.
