Bishop Eddie Long wasn’t present in court on Friday (November 19th) for the first court hearing in his sexual misconduct case, but neither were his accusers. Counsel representing all parties expressed an interest in settling, and this case is likely to be over once mutually agreeable terms are met.
Bishop Long’s official response to all four lawsuits against him is that the allegations are not true. If both sides aren’t able to reach an agreement in mediation, the trials will likely begin in the summer of 2011.
