25 years ago Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson wrote a powerful charity song titled “We Are the World” in an effort to support USA for Africa. It was co-produced by Quincy Jones and Michael Omartian for the album We Are the World. 25 years later popular artists of today – and even some of the originals – have gathered together once again. This time the horrific catastrophe in Haiti has been the catalyst for the song. Today the music video premiered on CNN and MTV at 2pm EST. It is now online and you can check it out.
