Stevie Wonder, John Legend and Ciara are just a few of the stars that came together to honor the legacy of Motown Records.

“Motown 60: A Grammy Celebration” was held on Tuesday night in Los Angeles at the Microsoft Theater and featured musical performances by artist, from then and now.

Motown founder Berry Gordy was in attendance and said that it was his dream of creating a record label to make “music for all people”. Motown was started in 1959 and has gone on to produce some of the most stellar artists in the world including Marvin Gaye, the Jackson Five, and Diana Ross.

The tribute hosted by Smokey Robinson and Cedric the Entertainer will air on April 21 on CBS.
