Philly.com- The 76ers’ president Bryan Colangelo is out following unethical behavior involving secret Twitter accounts.

Colangelo was not at the Sixers facility on Thursday, a day after sources said he was spotted at pre-draft workouts. The team’s owners are expected to be in town.

The move came after a New York law firm hired by the team wrapped up its investigation into allegations from a sports and pop culture website, The Ringer, that Colangelo was connected to anonymous Twitter accounts that revealed sensitive team information and criticized players and coach Brett Brown.

Colangelo acknowledged using one of the Twitter handles reported by The Ringer, @phila1234567, but never tweeted from that account. However, The Ringer alleged that Colangelo might be linked to four other accounts that did make controversial tweets.

Colangelo denied using the other four accounts mentioned in the Ringer article last week. His wife, Barbara Bottini, also has been connected to the accounts. Both Colangelo and his wife were interviewed separately by investigators from Paul/Weiss, the law firm hired by the Sixers to probe the matter.
