TLC has pulled it’s highly rated pro-life faith driven show ‘19 And Counting’ from broadcast.

News about the incidents involving Josh Duggar‘s sexual abuse charges, from 12 years ago, was communicated to the public via reports from police reports from the Springdale Police Department, last week. Oprah Winfrey cancelled a scheduled appearance by the Duggars after receiving an email tip about Josh’s teenage indiscretions. That letter was reported to the Department of Human Services, which led to an investigation by Springdale, Arkansas, police in December 2006. That started the ball rolling.

TLC responded by issuing this short message.

Effective immediately, TLC has pulled all episodes of 19 Kids and Counting currently from the air. We are deeply saddened and troubled by this heartbreaking situation, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family and victims at this difficult time.

TLC  could consider dropping the eldest Duggar son from the docu-series and rebranding it. We have seen very little of him this season and the show has been very interesting.  Jill and Jessa’s weddings and the birth of Jill’s first child have kept most viewers glued to the screen. Following along with the new homemakers has been a joy. Their modesty and genuine love and wonder for marriage is refreshing.

Meanwhile, Josh Duggar, the eldest of the children, cancelled  scheduled appearance next weekend at a Christian homeschooling convention. He has resigned from his job at the Family Research Council. His 26-year-old wife Anna, currently pregnant with their fourth child, has remained supportive of her husband, who had told her about his past indiscretions when they began dating.
