*Tyler Perry is being accused of using a gospel song in his TV show “Meet the Browns” without bothering to pay for it.

TMZ.com is reporting that several characters sang the words, “The Devil thought he had me … but I got away,” in a 2009 episode of the show.

Songwriter Johnny Tyrone Stringfield claims in his lawsuit that the lyrics came from his song, “I Got Away,” which he copyrighted in 2008.

Stringfield, who filed the lawsuit Wednesday in federal court in Los Angeles, claims Perry and the companies behind the show owe him more than $100,000 to make things right.
