Our national motto, “In God We Trust,” may soon be displayed in schools; if Allegheny County Republican Rick Saccone has his way. Saccone is sponsoring the bill in celebration of the 150th anniversary of ‘In God We Trust’ on our coins!
However, according to Ed Joyce, president of the Delaware Valley Chapter of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, says it’s not about history but religion, it’s clearly a backdoor way of getting religion into schools and that bringing the word “God” into schools is divisive.
