The Promise”
A Spiritual Revival for the City of Beverly
Karl Jackson was born and raised in the city of Beverly, the grandson of Louise Jackson who lived in Beverly her whole life until she passed away from cancer on October 6, 2012. His grandmother would’ve been 85 years old Friday, August 9th. She loved Beverly with a passion and told Him and those close to her that God made her a Promise that He would restore this city that she so greatly wanted to see revitalized.
The spiritual revival “The Promise” took place Friday, August 9th at the St. James Baptist Church. This event was put in place to Help restore and heal the beautiful city through this faith based event. This event included speakers from local churches, political figures and prominent figures including the Real Housewife of Atlanta, Ms. Lisa Wu. Ms. Wu came to this event to help us motivate, inspire and reenergize our community with her testimony. This event will also offered free health screening from the Red Cross. An interactive committee was made by the people for the people to help deal with issues such as drug abuse, domestic abuse, unemployment and all other issues that plague this city.
The objective of this day is to revitalize the city of Beverly and restore it back to the great city we once knew with a faith based initiative which includes inspiring, motivating and educating the community with this effort. For us to stop complaining and start working for faith without works is dead.
The spiritual community of the city of Beverly and surrounding churches to came together for a day under the banner of Healing, putting the needs of the people first and sharing what God has blessed us with. !
