If you are getting a tax refund, it can really be good news, if you do good with it. To keep it from evaporating from your hands, there are smart ways to spend your tax refund:
1. Treat it like a paycheck. It really is a paycheck, because you are getting back what you have worked for anyway, the government held it for you all year long. Therefore, give 10 percent, save 10 percent and put 80 percent into your household account.
2. Stash the whole thing. Keep for emergencies ONLY!
3. Get rid of that credit balance! Pay that balance down and only use it for emergencies if you don’t have the cash!
