1. Gunman Killed After Holding Firefighters Hostage

A gunman who held four firefighters hostage for hours in Georgia was eventually shot and killed by SWAT members on Wednesday. The firefighters were responding to a medical call at a home that is in foreclosure.

2. Tornadoes Rip Through Midwest

Six tornadoes have been reported in parts of the Midwest, including four in Arkansas and two in Missouri. A neighborhood in St. Louis was reportedly hit the hardest, with possible damage to homes and the airport.
