Verizon’s “How Sweet The Sound Road to Gospel Greatness: Finale” is like the Super Bowl of gospel choirs: only one choir will take home the grand prize.

Hosted by R&B/Gospel artist Michelle Williams, the one-hour finale will show the performances of the regional finalist choirs and the revealing of the winning choir that was chosen by a panel of Gospel heavyweights including CeCe Winans, Erica Campbell of Mary Mary, Fred Hammond, Hezekiah Walker and Light Records’ James Robinson. The audience watching at home may not have a say in who goes home with the prize like BET’s “Sunday’s Best,” but home viewers will have the chance to vote for the Verizon People’s Choice Award.

Momentum Entertainment Group partnered with TV One for the broadcast. General Manager of Momentum, Laura Laughlin said, “The music, talent and the energy in this season of How Sweet the Sound exceeded all our expectations. We are extremely thrilled to partner with TV One to deliver the finale, a true celebration of gospel music, to a larger audience and into so many homes.” Alfred Liggins, President and CEO Radio One and TV One, added “This entertaining and soul-stirring program is an excellent addition to our lineup of originals and specials celebrating the Black experience.”

Tune into Sunday, March 31, at 10 PM/ET to watch the country’s best gospel choirs shine and witness the crowing of the winning choir.
