The arrogance of humans can be terrifying and really, quite unbelievable. CNN host Piers Morgan has outright disrespected the Bible, calling it “inherently flawed” and suggesting that both God’s word and the U.S. Constitution need an amendment in favor of gay rights.
“It’s time for an amendment to the Bible. You should compile a new Bible,” Morgan told Pastor Rick Warren, popular author of “Purpose Driven Life,” in an interview.
Warren shot back, “Not a chance. What I believe is flawed is human opinion, because it constantly changes.”
Morgan has offended many people of faith by saying “Both the Bible and the Constitution were well-intentioned but they are basically, inherently flawed. Hence, the need to amend it.”
His insolent remarks have left many wondering if Morgan understands the difference between “the Law and the Lord.”
Though hearing such rhetoric is shocking, 2 Timothy 3:8b-9 NIV describes men like Morgan this way: “They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.”
