500 Murders in Chicago just in 2012 alone. But this inner-city murder story just isn’t exclusive to Chicago.  All over the country inner cities are being plagued with violence, murder and drugs; most of which are teenagers and young adults. According to the Philadelphia Police DepartmentPhiladelphia’s homicide rate is the highest it’s been since 2007. In 2012 Philadelphia has amassed 330 Murders, that’s 32 murders more than in 2009, 10 more than in 2011, and 7 more than last year’s totals.

Mayor Nutter has tried to help the problem by putting a bounty on the heads of criminals who commit homicide and carry illegal guns. The city will pay up to $20,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of someone for homicide, but it hasn’t fixed the problem.

What can we do to change the murder culture that has taken over our cities as well as the mind of our children? Is changing the gun laws a good start? Let us know what you think…
