Vashawn Mitchell has so many things to be thankful for on this “Thankful Thursday!” He’s leading the 27th Annual Stellar Awards with 11 nominations! Vashawn’s hit single “Nobody Greater” was recognized in Billboard magazine’s annual Year in Music issue for having the # 1 most played Gospel Song of 2011. Additionally he was named the # 1 Billboard Gospel Radio Artist while his album “Triumphant” was # 5 on the publication’s Top Gospel Album Chart.” These are all huge accomplishments for which Mitchell gives God all the credit.

Vashawn is gearing up for lead roles in 2 new plays. A Gospel Music Channel Presentation, “Suga Mommas” and a stage play called “Always Remember.”
“Always Remember” is a gripping family drama where Vashawn is cast as a troubled college student and son of a wealthy business owner. The production will open to a limited run Friday, January 6th at 8PM and Saturday, January 7th at 2:30PM and 8:00 PM at the Temple Theatre in Philadelphia PA.
