As we prepare for the premiere of Mary Mary’s reality show March 29th at 10pm on WE tv, one half of the duo, Erica Campbell, admits that she needs to rest, renew, relax and replenish. Erica recently gave birth to her daughter Zaya Monique. Not only that, just three weeks after giving birth Erica was on the red carpet at the Grammys with her sister Tina; who is now pregnant. In addition, Erica has been traveling to promote the new reality, putting the finishing touches on a new CD; in which they will soon have to travel and promote. Plus, the sisters are still doing concerts, including a performance at our recent Inspiration and Music Conference.

On her Essence.com blog Erica wrote, “Is it OK if I’m honest this week? I’m tired and I need a break and I think God has lost my address! I need answers and I need peace. I’m sure somebody can relate. I’m running on fumes. I’m empty. And it doesn’t help when the people you would call to vent to, or pray with, don’t answer their phone! What’s up with that? So I guess this is a test I must endure alone.”

However, I’m happy to report that Erica ended her blog by stating, “Even though I may feel alone and all by myself, I’m never alone, for God will never leave me nor forsake me.”

I’m grateful that Erica realizes that she is not alone and that God has not forgotten her address; instead, I hope our sister will sit at God’s address and take a much needed sabbatical. As sisters, when we feel like God is not there, it’s only because we stepped away.

Let’s keep our sister in prayer mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically.

As women, remember that on each flight the attendant tells us that if the cabin should lose pressure, then we are to put the oxygen mask on ourselves first and then assist others. Bottom line, what good are we to others if are not good to ourselves first!
