The reality television personality, known as simply “Omarosa” from shows “The Celebrity Apprentice” and “The Surreal Life,” has been ordained as a minister.

Omarosa said of her ordination, “This is the day that the Lord has made, I truly rejoice and am glad it is! This was one of the most profound days of my life and my ministry. How amazing I feel to serve God.”

Omarosa was serving as an assistant pastor at her home church, the Weller Street Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, Ca. The former TV star was unanimously approved to become a reverend by the ordination committee of the church in mid-February; following a year of service.

Omarosa said she recognizes that some people will never let her forget the bad-girl character she portrayed on television but assures that her faith is authentic and that she has made a very personal decision to dedicate her life to the service of the kingdom of God.

Omarosa is currently enrolled in the doctorate of Ministry program at Payne Theological Seminary in Ohio.
