Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter will be in office for another four years thanks to a land slide election victory over Republican candidate Karen Brown. As a second term Mayor of the city of Philadelphia, Nutter looks to continue his improvement of the city’s struggling school system and high crime rates. He also looks to attract more jobs with the expansion of the Convention Center as well as other projects such as development on North Broad Street which will bring a Ballet school to North Philly.

He also has some encouraging words for minority business owners.

I want to see a hotel built in this city by a black company, owned by African Americans and other minorities. This is where you get into real economic participation. Working somewhere is great. Owning something is better.
