In game 5, the Phillies were eliminated from the National League division series after losing last night to the St. Louis Cardinals’ 1-0 at Citizens Bank Park. It was a crushing three games to two defeat for the Phillies.
In addition, Ryan Howard was carried off the field what appears to be an injury to the Achilles tendon in his left foot. He is scheduled for an MRI.
