Bounce TV, a new network targeting African Americans 25-54, debuted Monday.

Bounce is based out of Atlanta and will feature a mixture of programming including films, sports documentaries, and faith-based shows.

To help launch the project were several key figures such as former U.N. ambassador and Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young, Martin Luther King III and two former Tuner Broadcasting executives.

The creators of Bounce will eventually develop original programming and carry different programming than BET and Centric; the chief competitors.

Eventually, Bounce will be seen in Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Houston, Cleveland/Akron, San Francisco, Milwaukee, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Hartford/New Haven, Norfolk, Dayton, West Palm Beach, Birmingham, Memphis, Louisville, Richmond, and other cities.
