Nelson Mandela’s Grandkids Get Reality Series
It looks like the reality TV bug has bitten the grandchildren of former South Africa president Nelson Mandela. According to the South Africa Mail and Guardian Online, the family announced the news today; and most likely it will air in 2012!
The grandchildren say this show will not be about them being a “Mandela” but more about their lives as young, black women, who are mothers and career women. The show will also feature cousins, but not their parents and grandparents.
The grandchildren say,” The show is not going to detract from the dignity of Nelson Mandela; but instead expose Africa for what it is now, a place with a new middle class of intellectuals who are contributing to the economy.”
