Food, Fun and Fellowship is the order of business for the day!

The Living Ground Ministries presents “Family and Friends Day” Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Elmwood Park, Harding Boulevard, Norristown, Pennsylvania, from 12:00 noon to 6:00PM.

What better way to put a cap on the summer months then to spend it with family and friends and have some fun? Lots of singing, dancing, spoken word, amusements, and refreshments will make this community affair a memorable experience for the whole family.

The Living Ground Ministries (TLG), a non-profit organization that encourages personal, collective growth and progress in the community, collaborated with other community organizations to make the event possible.

“We want to inspire unity in the community and remind local residents that we are all in this together,” said TLG Executive Director, Howard Scott. Scott vows to bring a stage full of inspiration and valuable information to spectators. “If you have a talent and gift from above, we need you on our stage” said Scott.

Performances by McDonald’s Gospelfest winners, soloist, Dionne Carole; F-GY-F from East Orange, NJ; Rodney Bradley and Friends Choir hailing from Chester, PA., along with the Carroll Sisters; the sensational recording artist and actress Tamika Patton; and a host of local artists from New Jersey and Pennsylvania will surely keep the crowd on its feet. The phenomenal motivational speaker, Lilisa Williams, will encourage and motivate with words of inspiration. Christian comedian, Rob Minor, will entertain with his clean but hilarious brand of humor bringing much laughter and cheer.

Participants will enjoy music from several genres including gospel, jazz, and R&B. Clean Rap and Hip Hop, dancers and Mime. The youngsters will be well entertained in Fun Land with Amusement rides, bouncy attractions, face painting and more. There will also be free refreshments, book bags, giveaways, coloring books and other prizes while supplies last.

The event – Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Elmwood Park, Harding Boulevard, Norristown, Pennsylvania, from noon to 6:00 pm.
