Early Saturday morning the legendary boxing promoter and Philadelphian Ronald “Butch” Lewis died. Reports say Lewis was struck by a massive heart attack. He was 65.

 Lewis grew up being fascinated by boxing. Eventually, Lewis became close friends with Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali. Lewis made history in 1988 when he negotiated one of the largest guaranteed paydays, $13.5 million for Michael Spink’s fight against Mike Tyson.
