Philly says goodbye to an icon that has helped bereaved families for years. Mr. Andrew W. Nix, Jr., the founder of Andrew W. Nix Jr. Funeral Home, now known as Nix and Nix Funeral Home, died June 16th at age 88.
Nix is survived by his wife, Dorothy, 5 children, 2 grandchildren and extended family.
A viewing will be held on June 28 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m at Jones Memorial Baptist Church, 20th and Dauphin Streets.
The entombment will be on June 29 at 12 noon at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 10 W. Street Rd., Feasterville, Pa.
Additionally, a memorial service will be held on June 30 at 11 a.m. at Jones Memorial Baptist Church.
