A young boy from Massachusetts was sent home early from school after his teacher thought his drawing of Jesus on a cross was too violent, reports the Taunton Daily Gazette.
The eight-year-old boy was asked by his second-grade teacher to draw a Christmas scene. The boy drew Jesus on a cross, with x’s on the eyes.
Educational assistant Toni Saunders said they became concerned when the boy said that he saw himself on the cross.
“The teacher brought him down to the principal’s office and they asked him why does he have X’s on his eyes, and the student said his eyes are closed because he is dead.”
