CONTEST DESCRIPTION:

The “One Love Gospel Cruise A Day” contest (“Contest”) will begin on Monday, January 30, 2012 and end on Friday February 3, 2012.   Five (5) winners will each be awarded a cabin for two (2) aboard the One Love Gospel Cruise sailing on March 18th through March 23, 2012.

HOW TO ENTER:

Listeners of WPPZ-FM who are legal residents of the U.S. residing within the Philadelphia, PA metropolitan area, and are twenty-one (21) years of age and older will be able to take part in this Contest.  To participate in the Contest, listeners must do the following:

1. Go to PraisePhilly.com between Monday, January 30, 2012 and Friday February 3, 2012 to find out what times trip will be given away and then listen to Praise 103.9 at that specific time for a chance to win.

1. Contestants must be the 10th caller at 215-263-1039 after the on-air solicitation for callers has been made.  WARNING: Online listeners to streamed broadcasts may experience a lag in transmissions due to buffering limitations. Contest participants should not rely on streamed broadcasts to participate in the Contest.

ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS:

1. The Contest is open to listeners of WPPZ-FM who are 21 years of age and older and are legal residents of the U.S. residing within the Philadelphia, PA metropolitan area.

1. Employees of WPPZ-FM, Radio One, Inc., its subsidiaries, affiliates, general sponsors, advertisers, competitors promotional partners, other radio stations in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, and members of the immediate families or those residing in the households (whether related or not) of any of the above are NOT eligible to participate or win in this Contest.  For purposes of this Contest, immediate family members mean spouses, parents, grandparents, children, and siblings and their respective spouses.

1. Travel guest of One Love Gospel Cruise A Day prize winner must also be twenty-one (21) years of age or older and a legal resident of the U.S.  Winner and guest will each be required to possess a valid passport and other valid government-issued photo I.D. (e.g. valid driver’s license) prior to departure and must travel on the same itinerary.  Travel guest will be required to sign and submit all requested release forms along with the grand prize winner.

1. Once an individual wins a prize in this Contest, they are not eligible to win another prize in this Contest except as specified within these rules.

1. Persons who have won a prize in another Contest or promotion of any kind from WPPZ-FM within the thirty-day (30) period immediately preceding the start date of this Contest are not eligible to participate.  Only one person per family or household (whether related or not) may win in any promotion from WPRS-FM during any thirty (30) day period.

PRIZES:

1. The One Love Gospel Cruise A Day Prize package will include the following:
   1. Each Cruise a Day prize winner will be awarded one (1) double occupancy cabin aboard the Norwegian Star for a five (5) day/four (4) night cruise to Grand Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico, March 18th through March 23, 2012.  Cruise will depart from Tampa, Florida.
   2. Winner and guest will be responsible for their own round trip airfare to Tampa, Florida and ground transportation to and from the airport and the cruise ship.
   3. The cruise must be taken within the specified time of the Contest.
   4. Meals on board the ship are included, with the exception of private restaurants.  Ground transportation, meals away from the ship, alcoholic beverages, gratuities, off-ship excursions, souvenirs, incidentals, and all other expenses not specified herein are the responsibility of the winner and his or her guest.  WPPZ-FM and Radio One, Inc. shall not be responsible for providing any substitute trips or travel arrangements in the event of winner and / or guest’s own failure to arrive in a timely manner for departure on the cruise or other travel itineraries.
   5. Winner and guest must each possess a valid passport and driver’s license, or other government issued photo I.D. prior to the departure and travel together on the same itinerary.

1. Dates and times of concerts and trips promoted by Contest sponsors are subject to change and those changes are deemed to be beyond the control of WPPZ-FM and Radio One, Inc.   Changes of venue, cancellation of engagements by performing artists, and/or their management may be permanent in nature.  WPPZ-FM and Radio One, Inc. are not obligated to make any effort to find an alternative prize under these circumstances.

1. Prizes that are not mailed (via us mail or UPS) or provided by the participating sponsor must be claimed at the station’s offices within three (3) days of the date of winning.

1. No substitution of prize is offered, no transfer of prize to a third party is permitted and non-cash prizes may not be redeemed for cash value, except as determined by station management and/or the sponsor in its sole discretion.

1. All Contest winners must sign and date official station release and waiver forms as requested.  Failure to do so will result in winner forfeiting the prize.

1. If for any reason a Contest winner decides not to accept an awarded prize, the winner will be required to sign a release form acknowledging forfeiture of the prize.  It will be at the discretion of the Contest sponsor and / or Contest administrator if another contestant is to be selected as the winner if time permits.

1. If Contest winner does not claim their prize by 4pm on February 9, 2012, the prize will be forfeited.

EXECUTION:

1. During the Contest Period, eligible listeners will be encouraged to go to the station’s website at PraisePhilly.com between Monday, January 30, 2012 and Friday February 3, 2012 to find out what times the trip will be given away.  Contest participants must then listen to Praise 103.9 at that specific time for a chance to win.

1. Contestants must be the 10th caller at 215-263-1039 after the on-air solicitation for callers has been made.  Upon becoming the correct caller, winning contestants will be asked to provide their contact information (off the air); name, address, phone number, and email address.

1. Winners will be instructed to come to the offices of the Station, located at 1000 River Road, Conshohocken PA 19428, to claim their prize.

1. All decisions made by WPPZ-FM and Radio One, Inc. management regarding any aspect of this Contest are final.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

1. Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes associated with the receipt of the prize (prizes are not transferable and may not be exchanged).

1. Any person winning over $600.00 in prizes will receive an IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year for tax purposes and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS as required by law.

1. No purchase necessary.  Contest is void where prohibited.  Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

1. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible contestants participating during the Contest Period.

Competition Guidelines

The Praise 103.9 and Black Smoke Music Single Record Deal Competition (“Competition”) is a singing competition. Participants will audition Saturday, March 26, 2011 (“Audition Date”) for an opportunity to win a single record deal written and produced by Black Smoke Music (“BSM”) gospel artist James Fortune, a three (3) city tour with James Fortune, and One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) courtesy of Troy Sneed. Auditions will be limited to soloists only. Ten (10) finalists will be selected among those performing on the Audition Date to sing live at the Inspiration and Music Conference Sunday, March 27, 2011. The finalist with the highest score will be awarded a “single deal” with Black Smoke Music that will be distributed on the nationally distributed compilation “Kerry Douglas Presents Gospel Mix Vol. V” scheduled to be released on July 26, 2011.

ENTRY GUIDELINES:

Listeners of WPPZ-FM who are legal residents of the US, and are 18 years of age and older will be able to take part in this Competition. To participate in the Competition, listeners must do the following:

Auditions: Registration will begin at 8am on the Audition Date. Auditions will begin at 9am for the first Five hundred (500) registrants. In order to participate in the auditions, entrants must register for the Inspiration and Music Conference scheduled to be held on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at praisephilly.com. There is a non-refundable fee of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25) to register for the “Best Singer in America” workshop which must be pre-purchased prior to auditions at comcasttix.com. Auditions will be held on-site at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, 1101 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19145 (“Audition Site”). Only one (1) audition is permitted per registrant. Auditions will be limited to soloists. Groups will not be permitted. Audition performers will be judged using a grading scale of one (1) through five (5) with five being the most points earned for a category. All performers will be judged on a) delivery, b) personality, c) originality, d) stage presence, and e) overall performance. It will be at the discretion of the judges to make a determination in the event of a tie between audition performers.

On the Audition Date, each performer will have a maximum of one (1) minute to perform an inspirational or gospel song in front of the panel of judges and other respected members of the music community. All audition performances must be acapella. No Music on CD, DATS, vinyl or cassettes will be permitted. Acoustic instruments will be allowed. No Props, No Hype People, No Dancers or Background Singers are permitted during Auditions.

Finals:
Ten (10) Audition finalists will advance to the Finals at the Inspiration and Music Conference and will perform in front of James Fortune and Troy Sneed. The Finalist names will not be announced until the Best Singer in America Workshop on Sunday, March 27, 2011at 5:30pm. Finalists will be asked to perform acapella in front of James Fortune and the other Workshop Finalists.

ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS:

1. The Competition is open to listeners of WPPZ-FM who are 18 years of age and older and are legal residents of the US. Listeners under 18 years of age can participate with a parent or guardians consent.

2. Employees of WPPZ-FM, Radio One, Inc., Black Some Music, their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, general sponsors, promotional partners, other radio stations in the Philadelphia, PA metropolitan area, and members of the immediate families or households of any of the above are NOT eligible to participate or win in this Competition.

3. Competition participants will be required to sign and submit publicity release form and/or a liability release form. If a Competition participant is a minor (under the age of eighteen (18)), the parent or legal guardian of the Competition participant must sign and submit all requested release forms.

4. Competition participants who are under the age of eighteen (18) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian while participating in auditions, rounds and finals.

5. Once an individual wins a prize in this Competition, they are not eligible to win another prize in this Competition except as specified within these rules.

6. Persons who have won a prize in another Competition or promotion of any kind from WPPZ-FM within the thirty-day (30) period immediately preceding the start date of this Competition are not eligible to participate.

PRIZES:

1. Grand Prize package will include the following:
a. A single record deal from Black Smoke Music written and produced by James Fortune (as determined by BSM and James Fortune). The agreement will be between the winner and BSM. WPPZ-FM and Radio One, Inc. shall not be a party to that agreement.
b. Distribution on the nationally distributed compilation “Kerry Douglas Presents Gospel Mix Vol. V” scheduled to be released on July 26, 2011.
c. A three (3) City tour with James Fortune, paid for by Black Smoke Music.
d. One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) courtesy of Troy Sneed and EMTRO Records.

2. Prizes that are not mailed (via us mail or UPS) or provided by the participating sponsor must be claimed at the station’s offices within thirty (30) days of the date of winning.

3. No substitution of prize is offered, no transfer of prize to a third party is permitted and non-cash prizes may not be redeemed for cash value, except as determined by station management and/or the sponsor in its sole discretion.

4. All Competition winners must sign and date official station release and waiver forms as requested. Failure to do so will result in winner forfeiting the prize.

5. All cash prizes won will be awarded in the form of a check. Prize checks will be available for pick-up no earlier than twenty (20) business days from the date the Competition winner is awarded their prize.

6. If for any reason a Competition winner decides not to accept an awarded prize, the winner will be required to sign a release form acknowledging that they are forfeiting the prize. It will be at the discretion of the Competition sponsor and / or Competition administrator if another Competition participant is to be selected as the winner if time permits.

7. If Competition winner does not claim their prize within thirty (30) days of winning notification the prize will be forfeit.

8. Winners must provide valid identification (i.e. via driver’s license, passport or other photo I.D.) to claim their prize.

9. If a Finalist does not attend the James Fortune Workshop they will automatically be disqualified from winning the Grand Prize.

EXECUTION:

1. Registration will begin at 8am on the Audition Date. Auditions will begin at 9am for the first Five hundred (500) registrants. In order to participate in the auditions, entrants must register for the Inspiration and Music Conference scheduled to be held on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at praisephilly.com. There is a non-refundable fee of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25) to register for the “Best Singer in America” workshop which must be pre-purchased prior to auditions at comcasttix.com. Auditions will be held on-site at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, 1101 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19145 (“Audition Site”). Only one (1) audition is permitted per registrant. Auditions will be limited to soloists. Groups will not be permitted.

2. The Finals will take place on Sunday, March 27, 2011. The top ten names will not be announced until Best Singer in America workshop.

3. The grand prize winner will be notified on Sunday, March 27, 2011.

4. Any transportation to and from the auditions and the Music Conference will be the participant’s responsibility.

5. Judging/Scoring: A panel of judges will judge both the auditions and finalist rounds. Scoring will be on a grading scale of one (1) through five (5) with five being the most points earned for a category. All performers will be judged by a) delivery, b) personality, c) originality, d) stage presence, e) overall performance. During the pre-auditions, Radio One reserves the right to have 3 separate judging panels which will judge on the scoring scale listed above.

6. All decisions made by WPPZ-FM, Radio One, Inc., and BSM management regarding any aspect of this Competition are final.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

1. Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes associated with the receipt of the prize (prizes are not transferable and may not be exchanged). If the winner is under the age of eighteen (18), the Parent or Legal Guardian of grand prize winner will be responsible for payment of any applicable taxes associated with the prize.

2. Any person winning over $600.00 in prizes will receive an IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year for tax purposes and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS as required by law.

3. Competition is void where prohibited. Competition is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

4. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible participants participating during the Audition Date.

5. By participating in the Competition, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this Competition, in any media now known or hereafter devised for advertising or promotional purposes without additional compensation, and must sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize. By entering this Competition, each participant agrees to comply with the Official Rules and the decisions of the Competition sponsor which shall be final and binding in all aspects relating to the Competition.

6. All Competition winners will be required to sign a liability release prior to acceptance of any prize. Pursuant to the liability release, the winner or winners will agree to hold WPPZ-FM, Radio One, Inc., BSM, any other Competition parties and each of their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies, officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of the foregoing, harmless against any and all claims or liability, directly or indirectly related to or arising from or in connection with Competition participation or the acceptance, possession or use / misuse of awarded prize or any portion thereof, or participation in prize-related activities, including but not limited to any related travel.

8. The station retains the right to disqualify any participant if all Competition rules are not followed, Competition void if prohibited by law.

WPPZ-FM, Radio One, Inc., BSM, participating sponsors and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates or their representatives, agents and employees are not responsible for the inability of any participant to complete or continue a telephone call, facsimile transmission or internet registration due to equipment malfunction, busy lines, inadvertent disconnections, communication failures or human error that may occur in the transmission, receipt or processing of entries. In addition, WPPZ-FM, Radio One, Inc., BSM, participating sponsors and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates or their representatives, agents and employees are not responsible for lost, misdirected, mutilated, illegible or incomplete Competition entries. Once submitted, entries become the property of the station and will not be returned.

11. By accepting the prize, the winner acknowledges that WPPZ-FM, Radio One, Inc., BSM have neither made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the prize or to any portion thereof, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose.

12. WPPZ-FM, Radio One, Inc., BSM, its subsidiaries, its affiliates, participating sponsors and promotional partners will not assume any responsibility for any changes in the execution of the Competition, including; cancellation of the Competition as a result of the occurrence of events not within the control of WPPZ-FM, Radio One, Inc., BSM, its subsidiaries, affiliates, participating sponsors, promotional partners and other radio stations, such as Acts of God, strikes, terrorists acts or criminal acts of third parties. In the event, such an act should occur; reasonable attempts will be made to offer the winner comparable prize(s) currently being offered by the station in lieu of the prize originally awarded.

13. Copies of Competition rules are available during regular business hours, Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in the offices of the WPPZ-FM, located at 1000 River Road Conshohocken, PA 19428. Copies of Competition rules will also be made available during on-site / in-person remote events.

CONTEST DESCRIPTION:

The Lonnie Hunter “I’m Back” contest (“Contest”) will begin on Monday, January 17, 2011 and end on Friday, March 18, 2011 (“Contest Period”). This Contest will be conducted exclusively online. Eight (8) grand prize winners who vote will each be awarded one (1) iPod, and one (1) ultimate grand prize winner will be awarded one (1) iPad.

HOW TO ENTER:

Listeners of WPPZ-FM (“Station”) who are legal residents of the U.S., residing in the Philadelphia Tri State (Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Delaware) area who are thirteen (13) years of age or older will be able to take part in this Contest. To participate in the Contest, participants must do the following:

1. To submit your entry, listeners must vote on their favorite option of Lonnie Hunter’s album cover. Listeners will vote on their favorite CD cover for the “I’m Back” project by logging on to: www.praisephilly.com.

2. After viewing all of the album cover designs, listeners must text their vote to LONNIE @69302. Standard data and text message rates apply to each text message sent and received in connection with this Contest.

3. Each week, one (1) voter will be selected at random to receive an iPod. The iPod will have the Lonnie Hunter project downloaded on it with a special message from Lonnie.

6. One (1) voter will be selected at random to win the ultimate grand prize of a free “I’m Back” CD, an autographed photo of Lonnie, and an Apple iPad that will include the”I’m Back” project already downloaded as a pre-release.

7. Upon entering the Contest website, participants are to follow the on-screen instructions, including entering their name, date of birth, address, phone number, email address, and any optional or additional contact information, as requested, to register for a chance to win.

8. All Internet entries must be received by specified dates posted with each individual posted online contest

9. One entry per person per day per email address during the Contest Period. Online entrants may only register through websites of radio stations in their listening area.

Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be in violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, WPPZ, Radio One, Inc. reserve the right to seek remedies and damages (including attorney’s fees) from any such entrant to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution.
