Kala Moses Baxter aka Ms Kala is a Praise 103.9 Radio Personality, Barrymore Nominated Professional Actress, Host, Producer, and Educator. She is blessed to be a radio personality for Radio One’s Gospel Station WPPZ Praise 103.9, where she hosts the shows The Sunday Night Edition Of The Soft Sounds Of Praise and Out And About With Ms Kala. The Sunday Night Edition Of The Soft Sounds Of Praise airs 10pm-2am Sunday Night and features scriptures of peace, protection, promises, and love. Ms Kala also produces and hosts the show Out and About with Ms. Kala which airs on Saturdays from 10-2pm. Out And About With Ms Kala not only shares what listeners are doing while they are 'Out And About' in their Communities, it also shares interviews with Gospel Musics' Biggest Stars to share their testimonies and what they are Out & About and up to. Ms Kala also features video interviews with some of our most Inspirational Artists and goes behind the scenes at some of Gospel Musics' biggest award ceremonies to bring the lives and testimonies of the Gospel Artists directly to her viewers. In addition to being a Media Personality, Ms Kala has an extensive acting career. She is a Barrymore nominated actress and two time Otto Haas Award Nominee who has been acting professionally for 14 years, performed in over thirty regional plays with Award Winning Theatres: The Arden Theatre, Wilma Theatre, Philadelphia Theatre Company, Freedom Theatre, Venture Theatre, and The Philadelphia Black Theatre Festival, just to name a few. Ms Kala has been on television, commercials, and in film. This winter you can see her in the production of Cinderella as The Fairy God Mother at The Arden Theatre. She started taking acting classes at Freedom Theatre at the age of 10 and taught there for 10 years. Ms Kala holds a Masters of Fine Arts degree from the University Of Arizona and Bachelors in Communications and Theater from Temple University. She has been a theater professor at Lincoln University, adjunct acting instructor at Temple University, Teaching Fellow at The University Of Arizona, Acting Coach, Teaching Artist for the Arden Theatre, and given countless numbers of trainings and workshops in Theater and Education all over the United States for both youth and adults. Her fun and interactive workshops are in high demand and use acting, music, movement and play as a teaching tool. She has been teaching acting for 20 years.
