    This is a sad day for gospel music with the passing of Bishop Hawkins. His musical gift of vocal skills and lyrical talent were definitely used and dedicated to the glory of God all of his life. It was his music that helped me as a young teenager turn my life over completely to God. I will forever be grateful for the deposit that his God given talent has invested in my life.
