My PICK: “Grace”- BeBe & CeCe Winans Track from: Still [B&C/Malaco] The duo has always delivered great music  and this oneis no different.

Best Gospel Song A Songwriter(s) Award.. Singles or Tracks only.

  • “Beautiful Things”-Lisa Gungor & Michael Gungor, songwriters (Gungor)
  • “Better Than A Hallelujah”-Sarah Hart & Chapin Hartford, songwriters (Amy Grant) “Our God”Jonas Myrin, Matt Redman, Jesse Reeves & Chris Tomlin, songwriters (Chris Tomlin)
  • “Return To Sender” Gordon Kennedy, songwriter (Ricky Skaggs)

My PICK: “Better Than A Hallelujah”-Sarah Hart . Sarah’s timely delivery of the lyrics and beautiful voice makes this a sure winner.

Best Rock Or Rap Gospel Album

  • “Church Music”– David Crowder Band   [Sparrow Records / Sixstepsrecords]
  • “For Those Who Wait” Fireflight [Flicker Records]
  • “Beautiful Things” Gungor [Brash Music]
  • “Rehab” Lecrae [Reach Records]
  • “Hello Hurricane” Switchfoot [Atlantic Recording Corp/ Credential Recordings]

My PICK: “Rehab” Lecrae [Reach Records] Lecrae has had a stellar year on the charts. His delivery of The Message and Hip Hop  beats make this a sure winner  over favorites Switchfoot.

Best Traditional Gospel Album

  • “The Experience”-Vanessa Bell Armstrong [EMI Gospel]
  • “A City Called Heaven”- Shirley Caesar [Light Records]
  • “Downtown Church” -Patty Griffin [Credential Recordings]
  • “Here I Am” -Marvin Sapp [Verity]
  • “All In One”- Karen Clark Sheard [KaRew Records/ EMI Gospel]

My PICK : “A City Called Heaven”-Shirley Caesar [Light Records] Ms.Caesar, the favorite and veteran  is definitely the favorite here. The only close challenge may come from Marvin Sapp whose album was a chart topper and crowd favorite.

Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album

  • “Get Ready”-Forever Jones [EMI Gospel]
  • “Love Unstoppable” Fred Hammond [Verity]
  • “Triumphant” VaShawn Mitchell [EMI Gospel]
  • “Aaron Sledge”- Aaron Sledge [EMI Gospel]
  • “Still” BeBe & CeCe Winans [B&C/Malaco]

My Pick: Still” BeBe & CeCe Winans [B&C/Malaco] This defintely was the 2010 was the year of  The Winans. I  definitely believe it will continue with a Grammy win.
