Nyasia, Teen Singing Sensation, from Richmond, VA, began recording professionally at the age of 12, releasing her debut single ‘Smile’. With God’s favor, ‘Smile’ had opened so many doors for this young anointed psalmist. Nyasia is currently 15 years old and taking her ministry to new heights, by releasing her debut album “Take Off”, which has been nominated for the 2013 Stellar Awards, Children’s Project of the Year, with her hit singles, ‘Dream Maker’ & ‘I Love the Lord’. What an honor, to be recognized by the public, as well as her peers in the gospel music industry. Nyasia was the youngest solo artist in the 2013 Stellar Award Nominations, and it is truly God’s blessings on her life, to be counted with so many great gospel legends.
Nyasia releases her sophomore project “Shooting Star” EP, in 2013, which allowed her to be nominated for the 2014 Stellar Awards, Children’s Project of the Year. God’s anointing on her life and her ministry keeps Nyasia on the road touring from city to city, where ever He will lead, such as; the Stellar Awards; Gospel Night at the Apollo; the Newsome Awards; and the DMV Awards; benefit concerts for St. Jude’s, and a host of other churches and venues. Nyasia has been blessed to be the recipient of the 2013 Newsome Award, as well as the 2013 DMV Award, both of which were great honors and recognition for all of her hard work.
No matter what the venue or the stage, Nyasia allows God to use her gift to lift Him up. And when she’s not on the road touring, Nyasia gets spiritually filled at St Paul’s Baptist Church, under Senior Pastor Lance Watson. Nyasia’s love for God is evident in her music, as she gives the young and the young at heart a different feel for the Lord when she sings HIS praises.
