Michael Dunn is currently on trial for first degree murder of young 17 year old teenager Jordan Davis whom Mr. Dunn shot in killed after a dispute at a convenience store gas station. The teen was unarmed, had no guns on him and was shot and killed in front of his friends that he was at the station with that day. Before Mr. Dunn approached the store, he had issue with the teenagers music and approached their vehicle. An argument occurred and the end result was Michael Dunn pulling out a firearm and killing the young boy. The outcome of the case is pending, but since the confrontation happened in Florida, the defendant’s lawyers are trying to invoke the controversial Stand Your Ground Law made famous during the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman trial.
