President Barack Obama and many other dignitaries gathered together at the memorial for South African President Nelson Mandela on Tuesday at the FNB stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa. Only Mr. Mandela could bring all of them together in one place in peace, which is what Mr. Mandela stood for.

However, President Obama shook hands with Cuban President Raul Castro at Mandela’s memorial, in which many criticized because of our strained relationship with Cuba. It’s been some 50 years since the U.S. and Cuba have had diplomatic relations ever since the small island turned its government into a communist regime led by Raul’s brother, Fidel Castro.
