When Kelly Price sang her rendition of Vanessa Bell Armstrong’s classic hit, “Faith” on BET’s “Sunday Best,” the audience loved it. But many viewers of her reality show, TV One’s “R&B Divas: LA,” feel just the opposite sentiment.

Recently, co-star Dawn Robinson opened up in an interview about how hurt the singer is over the show’s portrayal of her character, and all the hate that has come her way as a result.

“I’ve just been praying with Kelly because her heart is broken over what she sees of herself [on the show],” Sister 2 Sister Magazine quotes the former En Vogue singer’s defense of Price from an interview with 4UMF.com.

“You build up a career to a certain point, you fought and battled through that career to be heard and seen. People talked about her weight and all the different things, and now to have a reality show tear you down?”

Price’s situation is a tale of woe for anyone thinking of venturing into the reality TV game.

Clearly, there is a price for that kind of fame—no pun intended.
