The first hour at your desk can make your workday more productive. It just takes a little careful planning. Fast Company reports three things that will help you to be successful at work in one hour!

1. Do not check e-mail. If it was that important, you would have gotten a text or phone call.

2. And once you free yourself up from checking emails the first hour, it leaves times for you to spend about 10 minutes to think about everything you are grateful for, such as family, friends, your career and more!

3. Do the worst first. If it’s something you dread it then put it at the head of things to do!
