Last year we said goodbye to Sherman Hemsley, known as George Jefferson, on the TV sitcom, “The Jeffersons”. I also just learned that Ned Wertimer, known as ‘Ralph the Doorman’ who always had his hand out for a tip, passed away Jan. 2 at age 89 in a Los Angeles-area nursing home; following a November fall at his Burbank home, according to his manager.
