The performer got lucky this time around and was signed for another season of “Soul Man” a TV Land original series.
We guess his petition to fans of the show to write to the network to show their support for renewal, worked.
He announced the good news on Twitter the other night:
Just got word #TheSoulMan has been picked up for season #2.Thank bout to Turn Up!” he wrote.
Centered around a former superstar-turned preacher, the comedy show premiered in June and received mixed reviews and 1 million viewers.
