Well I wasn’t quite sure at first as to why a gospel group would accept an invitation from a rap artist to perform at his event; but I am quite sure now why the gospel group did! I’m talking about Pastor Charles Jenkins performing at Jay Z’s two-day “Made In America” concert here in Philly yesterday! Jenkins and Fellowship Chicago changed the atmosphere by performing their hit single ‘Awesome’!
And awesome they were! Jenkins and Fellowship Chicago opened up day two of “’Made in America” and performed for an hour per Jay-Z’s request! Jenkins and Fellowship Chicago was the only gospel scheduled to perform!
Thank you Pastor Jenkins for allowing God’s light to shine through you at the concert! It is my prayer that many were touched and ignited by the presence of God!
