16-year-old Gabby Douglas just became the first African-American woman to win an all-around gold medal in gymnastics topping silver medalist Viktoria Komova of Russia.
Douglas becomes the U.S.’s third-straight gold medalist in this event. Nastia Liukin won the overall gold in Beijing in 2008, and Carly Patterson won the event in Athens in 2004.
Congrats Gabby Douglas!
