Daily Faith-Lift ™

Today’s Daily Faith-Lift ™ is designed to remind us that our words have worth; and they add up!

God gave us two ears and one mouth, so we can listen more and talk less. I thank God for creating us this way because the tongue is a powerful tool; where life and death dwell. Mark Twain said, “It takes two years to learn to talk and the rest of our lives to control our mouth!”

Therefore, it is important for us to truly think before we speak. Before we speak, we must stop and ask ourselves if our words:

1. Encourage or discourage?

2. Pull somebody up or put somebody down?

3. Heal or hurt?

4. Build up or tear down?

5. Unite or divide?

Remember, we are only as good as our words. Our words have worth and they add up. Therefore, we must use them wisely and stick by them. That’s capital worth investing in.

Our words of worth are keys to the heart. Some words we will have to eat, which can be a wholesome diet; that doesn’t give us heartburn.
