On Friday, shock waves were felt throughout the Christian community when it was reported that Pastor Creflo Dollar was arrested on charges of attacking his 15-year-old daughter. Dollar was taken into custody at his Fayetteville home; then taken to the Fayette County Jail and charged with simple battery and cruelty to children. Dollar posted a $5,000 bond on Friday morning and was released.
Dollar has released an official statement.
“As a father I love my children and I always have their best interest at heart at all times, and I would never use my hand to ever cause bodily harm to my children. The facts in this case will be handled privately to further protect my children. My family thanks you for your prayers and continued support.”
Pastor Dollar’s attorney, Nikki G. Bonner made it clear and said, “My client will make no further comments as this is an ongoing criminal matter.”
