On August 14th in Hendersonville, Tenn., the Gospel Music Hall of Fame will induct the “queen of soul” Aretha Franklin.

If you recall, Aretha Franklin’s father was prominent Baptist Pastor C.L. Franklin, so her gospel roots run deep. In 1972, her album, “Amazing Grace,” has sold over 2 million copies and is one of the best-selling gospel albums of all time.

Franklin is one of six who will be inducted into the Hall.

The Gospel Music Hall of Fame was established in 1971. More than 150 members have been inducted, including Dolly Parton and Elvis Presley.
