The new movie “Winnie” about the wife of South African leader Nelson Mandela, starring Jennifer Hudson and Terrence Howard, has been handed over to Bishop T.D. Jakes. Jakes has taken over as “executive producer” and will be responsible for marketing and distribution.
Last September an early version was shown at the Toronto Film Festival, but was met with mixed reviews. Since then “Winnie” has undergone several changes. “Winnie” will hit the big screen in the fall.
