Today a judge set George Zimmerman’s bail at $150,000. Zimmerman, the Florida neighborhood watch captain accused of second-degree murder in the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. Even though the judge set the bond at $150,000 the judge said he would not be released today pending the terms of his release.

Zimmerman has claimed self-defense and took the witness stand today to apologize to Trayvon Martin’s parents. In his apology, Zimmerman said that he was sorry for the loss of their son; and added that he did not know how old Martin was or that he was unarmed.

Once Zimmerman is released, the judge said that he can’t drink alcohol, use drugs, have any firearms, must observe a curfew and will also have to wear an electronic monitoring device.
