Ladies, we all know how challenging it can be sometimes trying to make time for exercising and taking care of our temples. And the truth of the matter is, some of us don’t believe we have what it takes to be our best selves.  We use many excuses that we are too tired, too fat, too depressed, and too old to get into shape at our age.  But there is a woman out there that will send all of our excuses out of the window.  Her name is Ernestine “Ernie” Shepard.

Mrs. Shepard is proof that it’s never too late to get your body and mind into shape. The 75-year old bodybuilder was recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2010, for being the oldest bodybuilder in history.  And she’s not only motivating to watch, she’s spreading the love as a trainer in Maryland. No matter if you are young or old, many are taking back their temples because of her. 

Mrs. Shepard lost her sister, who started her crusade with her in their mid-50s, to make it to the Guinness Book of World Records. So she keeps her in her head and heart through each workout and competition.  She runs miles per day and eats a high protein diet to look as strong as she does.
